Vida Guerra

When Sir Mix-A-lot introduced the phrase “I like big butts and I cannot lie” into the psyche of the horny American male, his idea of classic, stick-figured beauty was shucked aside for rumps with bumps. We’ve steadily evolved from Gwynie to Jennie from the block. Jennifer Lopez, whose ass carries more earthquake insurance than all of Southern California, has carried the burden of our desire for butts everywhere.

You may now move over J-Lo, and make way for Vida Guerra.

For any hombre who has not yet heard of the Vida Guerra legend, you need to subscribe to more men’s magazines. Vida and her now-famous booty emerged almost a year-and-a-half ago in an FHM lingerie spread. A friend of a boyfriend encouraged the 25-year-old to submit photos to the magazine for an amateur contest.

The 5-foot-3, former loan officer was brought in for a photo shoot in December 2002 and posed next to several other lingerie-clad women. There was Vida Guerra standing with her marvelous backside to the camera. Her sultry looks and bootylicious magnetism were undeniable and, for FHM editors, unavoidable. She easily outshone the other girls posing beside her.

A few days later, the magazine was banging down Vida's door. Over the past year, she has spent little time in Jersey, instead going on location for guest appearances on television shows like the Dave Chappelle Show, a music video with Cassidy, and magazine shoots. Her website is preparing to launch and she is even coming out with a self-titled video that is in the Girls-Gone-Wild tradition. But sorry fellas, it won't be Vida Gone Wild. Instead she left the chest bearing to college gals spring breaking in Sonora, Mexico. In a rare, non-FHM interview, Vida Guerra talked with Open Your Eyes about love, nude scenes, her Chihuahua, an upcoming movie, NFL bad boy Jeremy Shockey, and her first return home to her native Cuba.
